Every year we run an Ice Cream competition with St Mary's school where the children can create their own ice cream recipe, name it and draw what they think it should look like with the winning recipe being made and sold in the Old Amersham Sweet Shop. Picking the top 3 from over 60 entries (and some suggestions from the Mum's of Pimm's O'clock and Gin and Tonic flavours!) was very difficult - I wish we could have had them all!
This years 3rd place went to Georgie Dowcra in Cherry class with her "Buzzy Bee Surprise" ice cream with Vanilla, honey, almonds, chocolate, a flake and caramel.
In 2nd place was Leo Masterson in Cherry class with "Choccy Woccy Rocky Road " with chocolate, marshmallows and biscuits.
The winner of the 2011 Ice Cream Competition went to Ella Davies in Pine Class with her wonderful recipe for "Eton Messy Surprise" with Strawberries, cream and meringue. Ella has won a voucher for 10 ice creams too!
The ice cream will be on sale at the St Mary's School Fayre today and all throughout the Summer in the Old Amersham Sweet Shop.
Come and try it for yourselves, we hope you will agree that it is truly scrumptious!
